Acterra is a Bay Area nonprofit that provides education on environmental areas such as corporate sustainability and advocacy to empower change. Annie’s received the 2015 Acterra Award for Sustainability, which recognized us for demonstrating positive, triple-bottom line impacts and advancing sustainability in the industry.
Robyn O’Brien is one of the most respected thought leaders in the food industry and is an advocate for protecting children from additives found in the food supply. As a longtime partner and friend of Annie’s, we sponsor her foundation, AllergyKids, to help bring awareness and information around allergies that affect 1 in 3 children.
BICEP works with businesses to advocate for effective policy that will enable meaningful energy and climate legislation, moving us toward a low-carbon economy. Annie’s is among the 365+ businesses and investors who support the work of BICEP.
The Carbon Underground was created to be the umbrella organization responsible for communicating and educating the world about the power of healthy soil to combat climate change. Annie’s, along with many other companies, NGOs and scientists, signed onto the Carbon Underground’s definition of Regenerative Agriculture in 2017.
The Climate Collaborative consists of manufacturers, retailers, brokers, distributors, suppliers and other concerned businesses from the natural products industry working together to take bold action to reverse climate change.
Feeding America’s mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and to engage our country in the fight to end hunger. In FY2016, Annie’s partnered with Feeding America to donate nearly 600,000 supporting their network to meet the needs of families across the country.
We partner with FoodCorps, a national nonprofit that seeks to combat childhood obesity and diet-related disease while training the next generation of farmers and public health leaders. Annie’s role as a Seed Funder enables FoodCorps fellows to support, guide and mentor service members who go on to teach kids about healthy food and where it comes from.
Just Label It is a project initiated by the Organic Voices Action Fund, which was established in 2011. Annie’s was a founding supporter of their work and we continue to support them as they educate consumers on the benefits of organic and advocacy for mandatory GMO labeling.
We are proud to partner with and support Kiss the Ground, an organization focused on telling the story about our ability to regenerate land, address climate change, and reconnect with nature by building and restoring healthy soil.
MOSES is a nonprofit organization that works directly with farmers to educate and inspire a more sustainable and organic food system. Annie’s has a long-standing relationship with MOSES to support resources and education for farmers to help them adopt and improve their organic practices.
NSAC works at the frontline of federal policy reform to promote and advance sustainability within agriculture, food systems, natural resources, and rural communities. We have supported NSAC’s work for the past several years and consider them an expert resource on federal policy reforms.
The Non-GMO Project is a nonprofit organization that provides resources and education to the public. They have developed a standard to provide verified non-GMO choices to consumers. We work directly with them to verify our products against their standard.
The Organic Center is a nonprofit organization that provides research and education to the public. They pull together evidence-based research on the environmental and human health impacts of organic food and farming. Annie’s supports some of the projects that The Organic Center has undertaken over the years.
OFRF helps to build infrastructure to advance effective research, policy improvements, and educational outreach for organic farming systems. Annie’s believes research is a critical need for farmers and is proud to support the work of OFRF.
The Organic Trade Association commits to promoting and protecting organic trade to farmers, the environment, the public and the economy. A leader in advocating and protecting organic standards, the OTA visions organic items becoming part of everyday life through increasing the amount of land under organic management.
Project Drawdown is a nonprofit organization and coalition of scholars, scientists, entrepreneurs, and advocates from across the globe that is mapping, measuring, modeling, and communicating about a collective array of substantive solutions to global warming, with the goal of reaching drawdown.
Annie’s has been a member of the SFTA since 2009. The SFTA provides businesses in the organic food trade with guidelines and recommendations for implementing sustainability initiatives within their business operations and across the supply chain. Each year, Annie’s reports on our performance in 11 action categories outlined by the SFTA.
The Sustainable Packaging Coalition is an industry working group dedicated to a more robust environmental vision for packaging. Annie’s has been a member since 2014.
Whole Cities Foundation is an independent nonprofit foundation established by Whole Foods, one of Annie’s key retail partners. We contribute to help Whole Cities foundation improve individual and community health through collaborative partnerships, education, and broader access to nutritious food in the communities they serve.
