Annie's Volunteers
In Good Company is a partnership of businesses that join together to make a positive difference through hands-on action. Founded by Clif Bar, In Good Company volunteers work side by side with nonprofit organizations and local volunteers in neighborhoods-in-need to create community on multiple levels.
From November 7th through the 14th, four Annie's employees join representatives from other companies - Clif Bar, Timberland, Eileen Fisher and more - to work on neighborhood and wetlands restoration in New Orleans. Collaboration among businesses can be a powerful force for positive change, and we are proud to participate! We'll post updates from our team throughout the week.

Friday, November 13th
From Renee:
Tuckered out at the end of the day.. Sherrie and Susan spent the morning at Miss Alice's house painting and then came to the garden where Jopye and Renee had been sifting dirt and prepping to put up fencing. The whole group continued to sift dirt and by the end of the day had most of the 4x4 fence posts cemented in the ground. An awesome work day! Off to a neighborhood party tonight with all people we worked with this week...
From Joype:
We can't believe that it's Day4 already! All of us had to work at Alice's house. The goal is to finish painting by tomorrow morning. Tonight was our free night. Annie's team went out to dinner with Eileen Fisher and 7th Generation team. We had fun.
Thursday, November 12th
The team spent time yesterday restoring wetlands with Bayou Rebirth.
Wednesday, November 11th
Our intrepid team has been hard at work on Alice Cousins' house. (Pictured below, center.) Susan wrote, "Alice holds court and keeps us on task -- our hope is to have her into her house this Friday!"
Tuesday, November 10th
Jopye sent some fun photos from yesterday's gardening and rebuilding projects.
Monday, November 9th
Sherrie called to say she and Susan are working to rebuild a house today. She's outside scraping and prepping the home for paint, while Susan works to install insulation. Renee and Jopye are working on gardening projects.
Sunday, November 8th
From Susan:
We arrived yesterday late afternoon… and have been meeting the other 27 people in the house. Today we took a 4.5 hour trip all over New Orleans including French quarter and the lower ninth ward and many places in-between. Tonight was dinner at Café Reconcile – a wonderful restaurant staffed by kids from the neighborhood who learn everything about restaurants from the ground up! Gumbo – Red Beans & Rice, Etouffe AND Collard Greens – WAY yum.
Renee sent this picture of their tasty meal!
