Kid-friendly Hidden Veggie Recipes

  

 

We think that all kids should enjoy eating their vegetables.  That's why we've created the recipes below, which include healthy veggies in our favorite food, macaroni and cheese!  These recipes are sure to please kids of all ages.

Squashy Shells

1 box Annie’s – Purple box or Orange Box
1 cup puréed cooked butternut squash*
2 tbsp. soft butter
Pinch nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste

*Butternut, Delicata, or Banana winter squash may all be used.
 



  1. Cook Annie’s pasta according to package directions.
  2. After draining, return pasta to pot.
  3. Add 1 cup squash purée and 2 tbsp. butter and stir over low heat.
  4. Mix sauce pouch contents with milk as directed on box and add to pasta.
  5. Stir until well blended, season to taste, and serve.


Serves 2-3.
