Annie's Goddess Dressing

Goddess Dressing

In the 1920’s, the Palace Hotel in San Francisco honored actor George Arliss, who was opening in a play called “The Green Goddess,” with a salad dressing. But Annie’s Goddess dressing – a creamy tahini and lemon dressing with chives and parsley – is the real showstopper. Annie’s fans describe it as “addictive,” “drinkable,” and “indescribably delicious.” Try it for yourself! Available in 8oz and 16oz bottles.

Divine! So worthy of the name! But for a sophisticated palate.

I absolutely love this dressing. It's so earthy, tangy, morish. The first time I tasted it, I was a bit shocked and taken aback because I'd never had anything like it before. But then I wanted to try a little more and a little more and soon it was my favorite dressing. I especially love it on roasted veggie wraps. I think when people are used to fruity dressings this dressing might come as a shock to them.

Love the taste, but not the oils/soy/xanthan

I am deeply in-love with the taste of Goddess Dressing. I wish better ingredients could take the place of the vegetable oils, soy sauce and xanthan gum. I would assume Annie's knows more about health than that, though I'm sure it's challenging to change your product every time you learn something new about health. Still, it would allow me to continue purchasing the product instead of having to make it myself. I'm so thankful that you've introduced me to the taste, though. I actually crave salads because of it! <3

    Loved the drizzle

I agree with Mike on this one. The 'Goddess' name threw me off. Sounds more like a body wash or shaving cream. I tried my friend's salad on which she drizzled some of her Goddess and it was pretty good.

I wish it was good but honestly it's vile

After hearing raving reviews from my mom and friends, I set out and bought a bottle of Annie's Goddess dressing for myself. With an optimistic vision of heavenly decadence, I poured a thin layer over my entire pot of rice. Worst. Decision. Ever. I have spent the last hour trying to come up with a better comparison but I can't think of anything other than straight vomit. The taste still lingers in my mouth after a few rounds of brushing my teeth and an hour or so of waiting for the the taste to subside (while sipping on wine to rid my mouth of the flavor). I wish I could enjoy this dressing like the rest of my friends but it makes me sick to my stomach..

The taste is good, but the oil choice(s) are bad. Why not avocado or olive? Canola oil is usually rancid during the processing. Soy is a terrible oil and seed oils are not as stable as once thought.

    Delicious

Mixed lettuce mix, tuna, tomatoes, and cucumbers with this Goddess dressing is pretty tasty! I thought I wasn't going to like it since I'm not a big fan of tahini but with this combination it made an awesome salad. I think this dressing is good!

ruined by too much xanthan gum

Taste is 5 stars but minus 3 stars for the excessive amount of xanthan gum. I don't buy this anymore because it is such a pain in the *** to try to get the dressing out of the bottle. Seriously, just try to get it out. I have to resort to a knife because the dressing is one big clump of snot that won't come out of the bottle.

HORRIBLE! Worst dressing I've ever tasted. ; (

HORRIBLE! Worst dressing we've ever tasted. : ( Change the name! ....so hard to write this review because I like being positive - I taste and review a lot of food items... (I am the Pure Hearted Foodie after all!) ; ) ..... but this dressing anything but Goddess-like... it was swamp-creature HORRIBLE! I am hoping ours was bad/spoiled or something (although the expiration date was a year away) because the reviews make it sounds AMAZING! The grocer told us (when I returned it) it's a love-hate dressing... some LOVE it... others think it tasks like death! So not sure if ours was bad or what? I am glad many do like it... good for them! I would change the name however. Lemon Tahini might be a better name?

    disappointed

I have used Annie's Roasted Garlic dressing for years. A week or so ago I purchased several bottles while in Bend, OR at the Whole Foods Store and when I got them home and opened the first one it was a disappointment!!! They have so garlic chunks like the ones I had purchased before. I still had one in the pantry and compared them.

OH MY STARS. This is my all-time favorite dressing. I can eat it on anything. My salads can't go without it. And my wraps get a thin layer of tahini before the veggies and meat and then the goddess dressing before it's all tucked up tightly. We had an organic mostly mostly vegan restaurant near us and every sandwich or dish had Annie's Goddess Dressing on it in some creative way. Learning to love salads and veggies wasn't easy for me but the dressing makes the vegan/vegetarian lifestyle an absolute treat.

    DOOOOM!

As the review title implies, this is the feeling I felt as I tried some of this dressing. A colleague brought it into the office to enjoy with her daily salad and her heart was broken. The feeling of doom soon turned to anger as it had and after taste that lingered longer than anyone would want or like. This may seem harsh but it is true and after having 2 other colleagues try it ... no one wanted or even came close to enjoying it and the dressing was dumped down the sink and the bottle recycled. After all of this I will likely try another flavour from Annie's but will stay clear of Goddess...Goddess of Doom!

    Asian flavors - delicious!

I'm a carnivore with no food allergies. Proof that you don't have to be a vegan with a gluten intolerance to LOVE this dressing! For those few who don't like it, I imagine they probably don't like Asian flavors in general. The flavor profile of this is soy-lemon-tahini. I'm a very happy customer!

What do I think of your Goddess Dressing? It is the only thing my lettuce will wear! So there! Grin

This is the best dressing I have ever eaten! As a result, I buy more organic lettuce, and eat one or two salads each day! I lick the bowl clean, too! I asked my neighborhood Fry's store to make sure to always have it stocked, and since I've asked, it is! I have also talked with people in the aisle about it, which has led to them reading the label and putting it in their cart, too! Please send me any coupons for it, as truly will use them, as will keep me on budget and on a good diet! Thank you for whoever designed this wonderful recipe, using a glass bottle instead of plastic, which I clean and keep as a nice one for re-using. I also like the great label which is attractive and catches the eye! I do tell everyone I know about your products, but do it Face To Face as don't use Facebook right now.

    Please Make Goddess Dressing Gluten-free

LOVE this dressing!! My go to quick dish is quinoa or rice, some sort of bean or lentils and roasted veg in a bowl with this dressing and vegan bacon bits if I'm being naughty. Absolute heaven. I am with the others, however. As a person who's had a severe lifetime wheat allergy, please make this gluten free. I'm only able to eat this occasionally, and would love to have it more.

    Never gets old.

In 1998 I first tried Annies Goddess dressing and have been a fan ever since. I really can't say anything more than what other people have said on this page except it's a true masterpiece of flavors, and yes, I do wish there was a gluten free option as I'm sensitive to it. However being that it's only in the soy portion of the recipe I'm okay with it, unlike others. For those who've never tried it, part of the joy of this dressing is it's thick, and a little goes a long way. So it's not only flavorful but economical. Still I always get the big bottles. I have two in my fridge right now. Thank you Annies!

Great line of dressings - this is the best!

I recently became a fan of Annie's Naturals dressings. I wanted to eat better and started making my own dressing. That got old quick and I searched and searched for a natural alternative in a bottle...that didn't taste horrible. I found Annie's!! This one, the Goddess, is by far my favorite! Awesome!!! But....

Annie's Goddess Dressing is amazing. The organic is even better. I love it on noodles, salad, steamed veggies, soft-boiled eggs, you name it. I'm so sorry I can't seem to given a rating on my phone. You have my five stars! Unfortunately however...I can't have Goddess anymore. I have an autoimmune disease that gets worse when I have grass grains, including wheat. If there's any way you could switch over to tamari...well, I'd be thrilled beyond words. For now, thanks for the decade plus of memories!!!

    OMG!!!! Love it!!!

I was hesitant at first when I saw this on the shelves, ive recently decided to change my diet and add more vegetables so I went to go buy some ranch, and came across this godess dressing for practically the same price, I knew annies was a healthier option so I said why not? And OMG...im already working on my second salad! I wake up now and look forward to lunch so I can eat my annies dressing, its everything I want in a dressing, tangy, garlicy, creamy, flavorful. Im defenitely sold on this product and I would not buy anything else! I know the sodium is a little high but in comparison to everything else on the market, its worth it! Thank you annies for making eating healthy taste better than eating crap! Haha. I would give 5 stars but my tablet doesnt seem to be picking up my touch, sorry

This dressing is the only dressing I buy, I have changed my diet almost 100% and this and the lite Annie's Natural Dressings are my favorite.
