Annie’s best-seller, Shells & White Cheddar, and convenient Microwavable Mac & Cheese join Annie’s growing family of gluten-free products
BERKELEY, Calif. – Nov. 9, 2011 – Recognizing and catering to the 14 percent of Americans seeking gluten-free food options, Annie’s introduces two new gluten-free Mac and Cheese products: Rice Shells & Creamy White Cheddar, a gluten-free version of its best selling Shells & White Cheddar, and Gluten-Free Microwavable Mac & Cheese.
“For the expanding population of people following a gluten-free diet, finding wholesome, great-tasting foods is often a challenge,” said Sarah Bird, SVP of Marketing for Annie’s. “Annie’s is proud to add to our line of gluten-free products two new pasta offerings that have the same features families love and have come to expect from Annie’s – delicious taste and real, wholesome ingredients.”
Made with rice pasta and 100 percent real cheese, these new products are a naturally good source of calcium and protein, and contain no artificial colors or flavors. Annie’s Gluten-Free Rice Shells & Creamy White Cheddar is now available at Whole Foods Market™, Target™, WalMart™, other retailers nationwide, and online at Annies.com, for an SRP of $3.19 for a 6 oz. box.
Annie’s Gluten-Free Microwavable Mac & Cheese, a tasty yet convenient pasta option for adults and kids alike, is available in January 2012 at select Whole Foods Markets™, Target™, other retailers nationwide, and online at Annies.com, for an SRP of $6.29 for 5-5 oz. pouches/carton.
