NAPA, Calif. – March 14, 2008 – Five years ago, Annie’s Homegrown introduced all-natural Cheddar Bunnies, wholesome bunny-shaped snacks that have since become the leading animal-shaped kids cracker in the natural market. Now, Annie’s is proud to introduce these yummy bunnies in two new USDA-certified organic varieties, 6.75 oz. and 11 oz. family size.

Shaped like Annie’s mascot, Bernie the rabbit, Annie’s Certified-Organic Cheddar Bunnies are made with organic wheat flour and real organic cheddar cheese from small family farmers for a crispy treat perfect for lunch boxes, after school snacks or munching anytime! Annie’s never uses preservatives or artificial flavorings, and because they are made without hydrogenated oils, Cheddar Bunnies are trans-fat free.

“Cheddar Bunnies were our first snack offering, and are still our most popular,” said Annie Withey, founder of Annie’s Homegrown. “Kids love the fun shape, and parents love that they’re made with no artificial anything. We’re happy to respond to our loyal customers’ requests for an organic version of this family favorite.”

The suggested retail price for Annie’s Certified-Organic Cheddar Bunnies is $3.69 per 6.75 oz. box and $4.89 per 11 oz. family-size box. The products began shipping in February and will be on shelves this spring wherever Annie’s Homegrown products are sold, including supermarkets, natural and organic food stores, club stores, mass merchants and online in all 50 U.S. states and Canada.

Other major introductions by Annie’s to date in 2007 and 2008 include: Family Size Bunny Graham Friends, a combination of honey, chocolate and chocolate chip Bunny Grahams; Family Size Honey Bunnies; Annie’s first-ever line of breakfast cereals; a snack pack tray of six, 1-oz packages of Chocolate Chip Bunny Grahams; all-natural and organic versions of Macaroni & Cheese with classic mild cheddar; and the conversion of all pasta in its 11 traditional macaroni & cheese products to certified organic.
