Where does the wheat in Annie's Mac & Cheese come from?
Take a trip with us to Montana and meet a few of the farmers who grow the organic durum wheat we use in our mac and cheese. Thanks to their generous hospitality, we had wonderful conversations around the table and in the fields. Here’s a little footage from our trip that we hope you enjoy.Organic Valley, Organic Cheese
Organic Valley believes organic food from family farms is the most healthful and delicious. In 1988, a group of seven Wisconsin farmers who shared a love of the land and a belief that a new, sustainable approach to agriculture was needed, came together to form an organic dairy farming cooperative. These founding farmers pledged to produce the best products possible by farming without antibiotics, synthetic hormones, pesticides or GMOs; by pasturing their animals, and by stewarding the environment. Today, Organic Valley is still independent and farmer-owned. With 1,617 farmers in the U.S. and Canada, Organic Valley is America's largest cooperative of organic farmers and one of the nation's leading organic brands. They follow the same recipe for environmental and economic sustainability that our founding farmers created, and the cooperative often sets quality standards that exceed the norm. Annie’s uses Organic Valley cheese in all of our organic mac & cheese and crackers. |
