Last month in our newsletter we asked you to tell us about the first time you tried Annie's.  We were blown away with more than 2,000 responses!  Here is just a small sample.  Want to share your own memories?  We're listening.

I started buying Annie's Mac and Cheese in 1989! I loved the flavor, and the fact that it was all natural. I wrote a letter to "Annie", and she wrote me back!! I'll always treasure that letter, and when I show  it to friends, they can't believe that I actually corresponded with Annie! My children (12 year old twin boys and an 11 year old boy) have had only Annie's since they were babies. They would much rather have Annie's than the "fake stuff"!! You will always be in our cupboard, and we love getting Bernie's emails and updates!

Warmly,

Karen and Harrison, Spencer and Collin (and Jonathan too)

oops: And Daisy Jane our sweet puppy!

My name is Duncan and I am 6 years old. I ate Annie's shells and cheese for the first time last summer. My mom and dad started buying only organic foods to keep us healthier and be a friend to the environment. My favorite thing to do is go to the farmers market to buy fresh fruit to eat with my shells and cheese. We recycle your box too. It makes me feel good to eat healthy food and help the Earth.

Thank you Annie's for giving me my shells and cheese.

Love Duncan

My son was in nursery school (1990) and the teacher asked his favorite food. He replied "purple cheese" which is what he always called his Annie's mac and cheese (because of the box).

Anyway, the teacher misunderstood and wrote down his favorite color as "purple' and his favorite food as "cheese". My children are 18 and 16 and they still eat and love Annie's "purple cheese".

Happy Birthday to Annie’s mac and cheese! I have three kids age 5, 3 ½ and 1 ½ and Annie’s mac and cheese is our “go to” food! It was one of the first “real” foods that I introduced to them. Nothing was more loved than a trayful of Annie’s mac and cheese and for me, I feel good knowing that what they are eating is nutritious, natural and healthy! Now the only problem we have is which box to choose! We’ve usually got at least 6 boxes (a variety of flavors) on hand and the kids get to take turns choosing. I am happy to say that we just returned from a weekend in DC and Annie’s mac and cheese was part of the kids’ inaugural celebration!

Thanks and Happy Birthday!

Kelly

I got my first box of Annie's Mac and Cheese as a gift!  I used to have a pet rabbit, and someone thought I'd appreciate the cute packaging.  Little did I know that was the start of a love affair with Annie's products that has lasted to this day!

Hey Annie’s!!!

I first tried Annie’s mac and cheese during my senior year of college at Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA. My roommates and I would make Annie’s almost every Friday night and enjoy the evening together. We would then plaster our kitchen cabinets with Annie’s boxes and cutouts of Bernie's face and tail. We cherish those memories and love to talk about our Annie’s days and decorations! Happy Birthday!!!

Hugs, Sara

My daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2004 and we were so thankful to find a convenient mac n cheese and snack foods she could digest without any additives.  We've made Annie's part of our kitchen ever since!

Happy birthday!

I remember the day when Annie's first caught my attention at the store.  My name is Ann and I had a rabbit, so it seemed that Annie's was all about me!!  I don't remember the food as much as the box and how cute it was.  That's what really got my attention.  I think the first thing I had was shells & cheese and it is still a favorite.  My rabbit is long gone, but my fond memories of my rabbit and my fondness for Annie's remains.  I feel a special bond with Annie's.  It's still, in my heart, all about me!  Thanks for continuing to give me that warm fuzzy feeling!

Happy 20th. The first time I remember trying Annie's Mac and cheese was when I was 20 years old! I was traveling the United States, living in a van. I didn't have much room for an extensive pantry, and only had a little two burner camp stove. It was essential to have convenient healthy foods on hand. That's when my love affair with Annie's Mac and cheese began. Now, my 4 year old is a second generation Annie's fan.

Thanks and keep up the great work,
 K. Genet

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 4 years ago - I heard about Annie's GF Mac & Cheese - I searched my regular grocery store to no avail but located the coveted item at a Health Food Store in town.  The price seemed a bit high compared to "regular" mac & cheese but I grabbed the box, took it home and tried it right away.  To this day, it is one of my favorite comfort foods.  It tasted so good compared to most of the Gluten Free items I had tried!  I was in heaven.  I will always remember finding my first "real" tasting GF item - Annie's GF Mac & cheese.

Thanks for helping the Celiac Community

Happy 20th Birthday

Anne

I do not remember the first time I tried Annie's but I do know the first time my son did.  He was about three and I got him the Bunny Grahams.   He tried a few and said "Mommy, bunnies are yummy."   The next time we were at the store asked for more "yummy bunnies".   Thank you for making products the whole family can feel good eating.
