Adopt A School Village Program

Here's How It Works

For every entry into the Annie’s Free Year Sweepstakes, Annie’s will donate 20¢ (up to $20,000) to Sustainable Harvest International to support 20 village school programs.  These programs will provide struggling families with the technical assistance and materials they need to plant a variety of trees together with other crops such as coffee, cocoa, bananas, vanilla and ginger in an integrated system that provides food and income while protecting the environment.

SHI:  Supporting Sustainable Agriculture, Growing Healthy Families

Along with organic vegetable gardens, wood-conserving stoves, community-based loans and a host of other projects, participants dramatically improve their quality of life and help improve their family’s nutrition.  Participant families have saved more than 45,000 acres of tropical forest from slash-and-burn destruction by converting over 9,000 acres to sustainable uses, all while gaining access to a wider range of fruits, vegetables and nutrients.
